Wicliff Aïmbo, 26 years old, heats soles to get rid of the textile part. He will then sell the gum of the soles for recycling. Wicliff can make between 50 and 200 kenyan shillings (0,80 to 3 dollars) with this toxic job. But it is not enough to feed his wife, his two children and his mother who all live with him in one room a few meters away from the dump site.
