'Dumpers' (trash recyclers), mostly young children, gather around a truck which has just arrived in the dump site of Dandora in Nairobi city. They will collect the trash and resell them for recycling. The 30 acres area is highly polluted by cadmium, lead, arsenic and other heavy metals. Dandora dump, one of the biggest in Africa, is an environmental and a health disaster.
