An illegal market of woods stands every friday on the river Arajuno, where the road crosses. Next to an area protected, there are many precious species sold in San Pedro. Middlemen, who came to buy timber at the illegal market of San Pedro of Arajuno, load a vehicle which go through the check points by bribing the authorities. For a load of 20 Meter cubes, the bribe amounts to about 400 dollars for a precious wood such as 'cedro rojo'(Cedrela odorata).
